It is true that God loves everyone - he created us. But the Bible says that, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). Sin means that consciously or unconsciously we have rebelled against God. Further, the Bible also says, "... the wages of sin is death ..." (Romans 6:23). Clearly the problem of sin is serious enough to keep us out of heaven. God is righteous, so He must judge man's sin.
