If you think about it, the idea of nothing after death is a matter of personal philosophy and is rather difficult to prove. In fact to prove this position, you would need divine revelation or you would have to die to find out. But this position generally presumes there is no God, and thus no divine revelation. And by definition, nobody could possibly die and come back from nothingness to report on nothing.
Unfortunately, if you are wrong in this supposition that there is nothing after death, by the time you find out it will be too late!
