I'll hang suspended in an intermediate state.

I'll hang suspended in an intermediate state waiting for somebody to do something on my behalf to determine my future.

This idea is built on the concept that a person's good deeds or merits can and must outweigh their bad deeds or demerits. However, the Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). If we all fall short of God's standard, so that a sinful person can't do enough good deeds himself to earn heaven, how is it that some other sinful person can compensate sufficiently? This suspension in an intermediate state could be a deceptive way of avoiding the issue of "... then what?" until it may be too late to do anything about it. It definitely leaves some uncertainty in your ultimate destination.

If there was a way to avoid this serious uncertainty,
you would like to know about it, wouldn't you?
